Our Story - Sparkling Sharbat Soda from RasaPop
A 500-year-old refreshment, poured fresh.
RasaPop is sparkling sharbat soda. Fruit and floral drinks from South Asia, poured into a modern can.
A tradition older than soda.
Long before soda fountains, families across South Asia were making sharbat: fruit and floral syrups stirred into cold water and offered to anyone who walked through the door.
Rose at weddings. Mango at the height of summer. Kokum along the coast. Pomegranate in the mountains.
Sharbat was never just a drink. It was a gesture. Welcome, sit down, cool off. The gesture still works.
Why we made RasaPop.
Sharbat lived in two places: the back shelf of an Indian grocery, and inside the kitchens of the people who already knew about it. We wanted it somewhere else, too.
So we built a version for the rest of the day. Lighter sweetness. Real fruit and botanicals. Gentle carbonation. A can designed to sit on a kitchen counter, not behind a cabinet door.
Sharbat without the prep. Same soul, sparkling.
The first three.
We launched with three sharbats families have made for generations:
- Scarlet Bloom. Pomegranate and rose, bright and floral.
- Golden Hour. Ripe mango, the one everyone reaches for first.
- Midnight Crush. Kokum, the coastal Indian fruit you are about to have a strong opinion about.
Three to start. More on the way.
Try all three in the Variety Pack.
Made for two tables.
RasaPop is for the people who already know these flavors, and for the people about to meet them.
If you grew up with sharbat in the fridge and mango lassi on the table, this should feel like something you have known a long time. If you did not, you are about to.
What comes next.
Three flavors is a starting line. There are sharbats across South Asia we still plan to bring forward, including kewra, khus, jaljeera, badam, and others, built with the same care as the first three.
The rest of what we care about is harder to fit on a can. One of us is an Eagle Scout, and looking after the environment was a personal commitment long before it became a brand value.
So every RasaPop can is aluminum, infinitely recyclable, and tied to RasaPoints™: our way of turning recycling into something you get rewarded for.
Scan a can. Drop it in the right bin. Earn points. Redeem them for free RasaPop, merch, and other rewards we save for the people who keep cans out of landfills.
A note from the founders.
RasaPop is a mother-and-son brand.
My mom grew up in India, where sharbat was not a specialty drink. It was everyday refreshment, poured when guests arrived, on hot afternoons, and around long meals. When she moved to America, that pour stopped being part of the day. The Indian community here missed it. The rest of America had never met it.
She set out to bring it back in a form that fits this country’s fridge: cold, sparkling, lighter than the syrup version, and lively enough to wake up an afternoon.
I joined her to help build the brand around it.
Two founders. Three flavors. One tradition. Welcome.

Start where most people do.
The fastest way to understand what we made is to taste it. The Variety Pack has six cans, two of each flavor.
